Competitor Trails

They already promote your competitors. Now you know who.

Name the brands you compete with. Prospen reads the links pointing at them, keeps the publishers with affiliate tags, commercial anchors, disclosures or sponsored markers, and screens out shops, forums and SEO spam. What is left is a list of people already paid to recommend products like yours.

Every competitor link within reach, not the first thousand.

  • Works through the sites linking to each competitor you name, pass after pass, until the links within reach have been checked.
  • Each link is classified by what it shows: an affiliate tag, a commercial anchor, a disclosure, a sponsored marker.
  • Pages that only mention a competitor, with no commercial signal, are kept apart and screened before anyone reads them.

Independent publishers only.

  • Platforms, shops, forums, wikis, SEO-tool pages and market-report spam are dropped from the link data alone.
  • What remains is ranked by how many of your competitors it covers and how it links to them.
  • The ones that pass are read as pages and judged like any other site: relevance, audience, evidence.

Evidence you can act on.

  • Which competitors each publisher covers, and on which pages.
  • Whether they disclose, how they link, and what they write about.
  • A verified contact when you enrich, and an opening line written from the page where they recommend your competitor.

Competitors named by you, or found for you.

  • Brand setup reads competitors from your site and marks them as estimates to check.
  • Edit the list any time. Every website run can use it.
  • Competitor signals surface on the creator side too: codes, tags and sponsored posts for brands like yours.
How it works

Four steps, and you approve every one that matters.

01

Name your competitors

Prospen suggests them from your site. Confirm, add or remove.

02

Run Competitor Trails

Pick it as a source on a website run, alone or with Web & Search.

03

Read the trail

Each publisher arrives with the links, the evidence and the competitors it covers.

04

Approve and reach out

Enrich for a contact, then an email that starts from the page where they recommend your competitor.

Your competitors’ affiliates

Fair questions.

Do I need an SEO tool account?

No. Prospen reads the link data itself. You name the competitors; it does the rest.

Will it find every site that links to a competitor?

It works through the linking sites within reach and keeps the publishers, not every domain. Shops, platforms, forums and spam are dropped on purpose, so the list is shorter and worth reading.

Is a site that reviews my competitor without affiliate links still useful?

Often, yes. Prospen keeps editorial mentions apart, checks whether the site is an independent publisher, and reads the ones that pass. The evidence tells you which kind you are looking at.

What does it cost?

1 credit per qualified site, the same as any website. Screened-out domains cost nothing, and unsure finds are free until you approve them.

What does trying it cost?

You start free with 100 credits and no card, enough for your first 33 qualified affiliates. After that it is $99 a month for one brand, $249 for three brands with a 90-day guarantee, and from $799 for agencies. You pay per qualified partner delivered, never per search. A website costs 1 credit and a creator costs 3. Enrichment is a separate step you choose: a creator's other platforms and a verified contact, 1 credit, only when it finds a verified email or another profile.
